Veejay Floresca Holiday 2012
Philippine Fashion Week
Modern
version of softhearted Filipina has come into our lives. She will definitely
conquer your imagination and taste as she wears, so they say, national-costume-for-men-garment
known as barong tagalong.
It was indeed
a witty and a trendy idea of Veejay Floresca as he presented it on his Holiday
2012 collection. You can clearly notice that his pieces convey that a woman
should empower bravery and guts as they guard that there’s still the spirit of
nationality on what they’re wearing resembling to former President Ramon
Magsaysay who popularized the barong as a formal wear. Likewise, he didn’t lack
imagination as the short-sleeved leather shirt, one-shouldered sequined dress
and skirt, tailored shorts, and sheer details came up to the runway.
Although
there was a Filipino inspired garments, Veejay took us to the international
scene as he hurled jackets and wool trenches that are created for traveling.
Even I would want to be dressed in that piece gorgeously. In addition to his
collection, there were also thigh-high slit evening dresses and sheer dresses
granting his show the exact feature of manliness and womanliness.
For his
finale, there was a lineup of sheer black gowns manifestly highlighting the
leather cutout elements that appeared geometrically yet elegant over a nude
dress that lies beneath it. At that moment, you couldn’t do anything but to gaze
at those pieces and suffer through admiration.
