Gerry Katigbak's Spring/Summer 2013
Gerry
Katigbak’s collection was included in the 9:30pm show at PhFW. Frankly, I could
not agree more with the schedule when four of his models came into the runway
theatrically and sensationally dressed with their breathtaking Asian-inspired
looks akin of his two female models’ sunshades along with Katigbak’s delicate
white embroidered cover-ups and his edgy touch to swimwear.
His
show continued with lightweight silhouettes made up from lace, chiffon, silk,
and soft organza that even I – or maybe the audience (and I hope they did) –
undergone an experience of blowy and lighthearted feeling when envisioning of getting a chance on wearing his fluid pieces. It’s what I admired on the
show truthfully. The breezy comfortable outfits with unfussy lines that would
make you want to visit astonishing beaches on our country. Plus, you can even
do it bringing a date with you since Katigbak offered geometric patterns on
women’s swimwear in beige that will surely catch your date’s attention.
In
conclusion of his show, he came up with an entire line up of blacks for men and
women, specifically wearing swimsuits and briefs, that even intensified the dramatic point of his collection predominantly
the last look on Jasmine Maierhofer in a sequined swimsuit with a marvelous
black and white cover-up that she showed off heavenly and completing it by
carrying out a divine distinctive poses with her stunning stature.
